Dealer-Level Tooling
SDD / TOPIX
We use SDD / TOPIX — the same diagnostic software a Land Rover dealer uses — plus a network of other specialist tools. That means we can read, code and program every module on the car, not just read a generic fault code.
Common Land Rover Faults
Land Rovers are well engineered, but every marque has its known weaknesses. The faults we see most often on Land Rover include:
- Air-suspension warnings — ride height, compressor and valve-block faults
- DPF and emission warnings on the diesels
- Electrical body-control (CJB) faults and parasitic battery drain
- Terrain Response and four-wheel-drive system warnings
- Key and immobiliser coding, including all-keys-lost
- Module-coding errors after a replacement, with functions missing
How We Diagnose Land Rovers
The difference between a scan and a diagnosis is what you do with the data. On a Land Rover we work through it properly:
- SDD gives dealer-level access to every Land Rover control unit; TOPIX provides factory wiring and procedures.
- Air-suspension faults are diagnosed at the compressor, valve block, sensor and ECU level — not just 'replace the bags'.
- Battery-drain issues are traced properly with parasitic-drain testing.
- Module replacement is finished with correct coding so the car accepts the new part.
